Covering up tired carpets

Sometimes replacing a carpet can be avoided, depending on how poor the condition of the carpet really is. With a carpet that has a few tears and marks that you’d like to cover up you should consider a rug. There are many different types to choose between but it’s important to find one that complements the colours of your room and of course your existing carpet. Most marks are near the entrance door, so having a runner can be a nice option. This type of rug is long and it can provide a comfy entrance to your room or hallway. Of course, if your stains are elsewhere, such as in the centre of your room beneath the coffee table (another hot spot for bacteria), then a square feature rug can be a nice option. Aztec rugs never go out of style whilst you may want to choose cotton for a nice soft texture. A rug doesn’t fix a carpet by any means but it can make it look newer by covering up those odd marks and tears.
