Can’t afford an expensive buffing machine for your floor? Don’t worry, we’ve got you covered. Check out this method to buff your floors to new by hand!
Clean the floor area with a dry mop to remove surface dust and dirt. The Wood Flooring Association states that a wet mop and excessive water can cause natural wood to expand and potentially crack. Vacuum the floor with a vacuum that doesn’t have a beater bar.
Purchase a deep cleaning product that is safe for your type of wood finish. Consult the manufacturer or flooring retailer to find the best product for your floors. Then apply a small amount of the cleaning compound to your floor, according to the instructions on the product. Work in small 3×3-foot sections so you can reach the entire area. Rub the floor surface gently with a terry cloth, working the cleaning product into the surface of the floor.
Buff the area with a soft buffing pad. Buffing pads are available at most hardware stores and in the automotive section at most discount stores. Use a circular motion to buff the area until you remove all residue from the cleaning product. The circular buffing motion restores shine to the floors.

Finding a flooring option that is durable, stylish, easy to maintain and within a reasonable budget can be hard to find. Vinyl flooring had developed itself a negative reputation, however over recent years this flooring has hugely improved and is a fantastic flooring option for your home.
Vinyl flooring is available in an extensive range of designs, colours or patterns, meaning there is a flooring that will suit any household’s interior. Unlike tiles and wood, vinyl does run the risk of scratching or cracking, and is very easy to maintain.
With comfort from the soft underlay and vinyl, walking on this flooring is soft and easy. While vinyl flooring is a relatively cheap option in comparison to other flooring options, it is important that you purchase a good quality vinyl. Installation should be done by a professional with excellent experience with laying this flooring, inexperience can lead to air bubbles and poor cuttings around the edges of the floor and doorways.

Covering up your wooden bedroom floor may seem like the last thing you want to do, however there are many rug options that can look great against a wooden floor.
Having wooden flooring in your bedroom can be very stylish, but during the colder months it can be a little cold to step our feet on first thing in the morning. Having a rug alongside your bed can be a great option as it will still allow for the wood to be exposed, while provide a little extra comfort when stepping in and out of your bed.
Another option for framed beds is to place a large rug underneath allowing a boarder of the rug to be exposed. This will provide comfort to the feet but also protect the wooden floor from scratches and dents caused by the bed frame.
The style and size of rug is completely up to you, as it shouldn’t affect the current interior design of your bedroom.
